| Google Adsense low content rejection blogging journey |
When I first started blogging, I never imagined that one email could affect me so deeply. After months of effort and hope, my blog was rejected by Google AdSense for “low quality content.”
At first, it felt like all my hard work meant nothing.
But after taking some time to reflect, I realized that the rejection was not the end of my blogging journey. In fact, it became one of the most important lessons I’ve learned so far.
This is the story of how my blogging journey started, what went wrong, and why I’m starting again with a clearer mindset.
HOW MY BLOGGING JOURNEY STARTED
Blogging was never just about making money for me.
For as long as I can remember, I loved the idea of sharing thoughts and experiences with people. I always had this feeling inside me that one day I wanted to talk to others through writing, to discuss life experiences and topics that many people don’t usually talk about openly.
Writing felt natural to me.
But for a long time, I didn’t know how blogging actually worked. When I first heard about it years ago, it seemed complicated and difficult. At the time, I was still new to the internet and didn’t really understand how to research or learn online skills.
So even though I liked the idea, I never seriously tried to start.
Everything changed when I began searching for ways to make money online. During that search, I discovered blogging again. This time, I started researching more deeply and realized something surprising.
Blogging was not just a way to earn money.
It was also a way to express ideas, share knowledge, and connect with people through writing.
That realization excited me.
It felt like something I had always wanted to do without fully understanding it before.
So one day, I decided to start.
That same day, I wrote my first blog post.
FIVE MONTHS OF CONSISTENT BLOGGING
Once I started blogging, I became very committed to the journey.
Writing posts became something I looked forward to. I enjoyed thinking about ideas, reflecting on experiences, and turning those thoughts into articles.
Over the next five months, I published around 60 blog posts.
What made those posts special to me was that most of the ideas came from my own thoughts and reflections. I wasn’t copying other blogs or simply writing for the sake of making money.
I wrote because I genuinely wanted to share something meaningful.
Every article felt like a small step forward. I believed that if I continued working consistently, my blog would eventually grow.
And because I had already written many posts, I started believing that my blog might be ready for the next step.
APPLYING FOR GOOGLE ADSENSE
After several months of blogging, I decided to apply for Google AdSense.
I felt hopeful but also nervous.
Like many new bloggers, I had heard that getting approved was an important milestone. It meant your blog had reached a level where it could start generating income.
When I submitted my first application, I waited about a week expecting either approval or rejection.
But the response I received said there were duplicate issues with my application.
Although it was disappointing, I didn’t lose hope. I believed the issue could be fixed, so I corrected what I could and applied again.
This time, I waited almost a full month.
During that period, I kept improving my blog and stayed optimistic.
Then the second response finally arrived.
This time the reason was different.
My blog was rejected for low quality content.
THE MOMENT THAT DISCOURAGED ME
Seeing those words was painful.
I had spent five months writing and publishing posts with sincerity and effort. Writing was something I genuinely cared about.
So when my work was described as “low quality,” it felt like something personal.
For a moment, I felt very discouraged.
I started questioning myself.
Was my writing really not good enough?
Was blogging the wrong path for me?
Those thoughts stayed in my mind for a while.
REFLECTING ON MY BLOG
After the initial disappointment, I decided to look at my blog more carefully.
Instead of focusing on the rejection itself, I tried to understand what might have caused it.
When I reviewed my posts, I noticed something important.
Even though my topics were different, many of my articles followed a similar tone and structure. I was writing from the heart, but I wasn’t thinking about how my blog worked as a complete system.
My blog had passion, but it lacked strategy.
That realization helped me see the situation more clearly.
IMPROVING MY BLOG
Instead of giving up, I decided to improve my blog.
I reviewed my posts and kept only the ones I believed had the strongest value for readers. Many similar or repetitive articles were moved into draft mode.
In the end, I kept about 20 of my best posts.
At the time, I thought about applying again to Google AdSense.
But I decided not to rush.
I needed some distance from the situation.
TAKING A TWO-MONTH BREAK
Around that time, life became busy with other responsibilities. I had exams and other things that required my attention.
Gradually, I stepped away from blogging for a while.
Those two months became a period of reflection.
The strong emotions I felt immediately after the rejection slowly faded, and I began thinking about my blog more calmly.
Instead of seeing the rejection as failure, I started seeing it as feedback.
WHAT I REALIZED
During that break, I realized something important.
The problem was not my ability to write.
The problem was that I didn’t fully understand the strategic side of blogging.
Writing from the heart is powerful, but building a blog also requires planning and organization.
Content needs structure. Posts need direction. And the overall blog needs a clear purpose.
Once I understood that, the rejection started to make more sense.
STARTING AGAIN WITH A CLEARER MINDSET
Two months later, I found myself thinking about blogging again.
But this time, my mindset was different.
I still loved writing and sharing ideas. That passion had not disappeared.
What changed was my understanding of how blogging works.
Now I know that passion and strategy must work together.
Writing meaningful content is important, but organizing that content properly is just as important.
With this new perspective, I decided to return to my blog.
A MESSAGE TO NEW BLOGGERS
If you are starting a blog and facing rejection or challenges, remember this:
Rejection does not always mean you are on the wrong path.
Sometimes it simply means you are still learning how the system works.
Every blogger goes through moments of doubt.
But those moments can also become the lessons that help you grow.
A few last thoughts:
Five months of blogging taught me many things.
It taught me discipline, consistency, and the courage to share my thoughts publicly.
But the rejection from Google AdSense taught me something even more important.
It taught me that growth often comes through reflection.
Today, I’m continuing my blogging journey with more clarity and more patience.
The rejection that once discouraged me has now become part of my story.
And sometimes, the most difficult moments in a journey are the ones that teach us how to move forward better.
